New Warning... Read on...

I got this from a friend of mine. It's pretty scary so I thought I would pass it on.

Incident has been confirmed. In Katy, TX a man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of kindness and got in the car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the service station and saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station. She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath. Apparently there was a substance on the card and could have seriously injured her. The drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal or take advantage of them. Four times greater than date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards. So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time alone or from someone on the streets. This implies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.

PLEASE PASS ON!

Weight Loss Update

My weight loss program isn't going very well. I've been trying to lose 15 pounds but I haven't been seeing any results. I know I shouldn't look at weight loss alone, but also at loss of inches, especially around the waist and hips, but I haven't lost any inches there either.

Currently I weigh 146 pounds. My max limit used to be 140, but somehow I got past that and haven't been able to get back down there. I'm not able to wear some of my Capri pants since I've gained the weight, so I'm trying to get back to the size I was when I bought them.

My problem is that I can't commit to regularly exercising. I try to exercise at least 3 days a week, but sometimes I work long hours and I don't exercise at all. I'm just too lazy. And on my days off I just want to relax and watch TV. I have tried to swim more this summer, but I can only manage to do that on my days off.

Another part of my weight loss program has been to cut out sugar, especially sodas. I'm getting better about not drinking sodas, but then sometimes I end up eating more of something else instead. And when I'm bored at work, all I want to do is eat. I try to bring healthy snacks, but then someone else is eating chips, and then I want chips too. It's really hard.

Today I did good, I used my stepper for 15 minutes, and did various other exercises in between that. I worked up a good sweat so I know I did pretty good. Now if I could just do that every day, I know I'd lose weight.

Yeah! A day off

Today is my day off, and I'm enjoying a nice relaxing day watching TV and doing some light house cleaning.

I've been watching the X-Files on DVD from beginning to end. Currently I'm on Season 2, watching the episode "The Host." There's some pretty sick stuff in that episode.

I'm trying to multi-task my day by watching TV, cleaning out my closet, exercising, and writing in my blogs. As for the exercising, I'm using my stepping machine so I have to take breaks every few minutes. It's hard to do that continuously for a full 20 minutes, so I take small breaks to go on the computer, clean my closet, or do some other type of exercises like lifting weights.

Red Eye... No, not the flight term, my eye is really red!

I think something is wrong with my eye. I took off my contact lenses and my right eye is all red. It doesn't really hurt, but it does burn a little off and on. I hope I don't have pink eye. I don't really know what pink eye is, I don't think I've ever had it, but I know it's not good.

Tomorrow I'm going to wear my glasses so that I can rest my eyes. I'll probably wear the glasses for the rest of the week just to be on the safe side. This isn't the first time my right eye has been really red like this, but tonight it seems worse than ever.

My brother goes back to Calgary

So my brother has gone back to Calgary. We had a great time together. Both my parents and I are going to miss him a lot. But he will be back in October when we meet up in Las Vegas for my birthday. I can't wait.

This past week we went to San Diego, Disneyland, and Disney's California Adventure. We had fun playing darts, playing poker, and just spending quality time together.

Sometimes I wish that he didn't live so far away, but then think of all the great times we've had since he's been traveling around North America. I don't think we would have done so much if he wasn't so far away. So in the end, I'm glad he got his dream job of working for Cirque du Soleil, it has been a worthwhile experience for all of us.

My Brother is visiting, not much time to write...

My brother's in town right now so I haven't been able to write as much as I usually do. We've been busy visiting some local tourist sites. Saturday we're going to San Diego for the day. That should be fun.

Tonight we had dinner with our parents and grandmother. My mom made fish enchiladas. They were really good, as usual. Afterwards we played poker (for fun, of course). It was a nice evening, just the family.

New Focus for my Blogs

I need to figure out what exactly I'm going to do with this blog, and my other blog, Weezy's 2 cents. By this I mean that I want to narrow the focus of these 2 blogs, so that I'm not writing about the same topics on each blog.

Right now I seem to be writing about anything, but mostly personal experiences, in this blog, Weezy's Journal. But in Weezy's 2 cents I also write about anything, but mostly on TV or movies. I want to get this blog up to the same level as Weezy's 2 Cents so that I can have 2 really good successful blogs. Blogs that I can write in every day, or every few days without having to struggle to find things to write about.

I think I will keep this blog about my personal experiences, but I will also add other various topics, like Weezy's 2 Cents used to be. This means I will change the focus of Weezy's 2 Cents to be mostly about TV and maybe some movie stuff.

I can use 2 Cents to review TV shows & movies, plus I can update my readers on new shows, movies, and DVD's coming out. This will be especially useful when the new TV season starts this fall. I will, of course, continue to write paid posts as well, as this is how I support my blogging expenses (i.e., internet costs).

Losing weight is quite difficult

I haven't written much about my weight loss progress because it's not going very well. It's been a few weeks and I haven't seen any results yet. I know I should be patient, but I need to see some results to keep me motivated.

I've been walking more, especially after work. I walk about 20 minutes maybe 3 times a week. This week I'm going to try to walk all 5 days.

I've also stopped drinking soda which has been very difficult. I need a sugar boost around 3 or 4 pm, but I got used to drinking soda to increase my blood sugar. Now I try to eat fruit, drink juice, or have a few pretzels to satisfy my hunger and increase my blood sugar.

It's all about creating good eating habits. I made it a habit to eat something sweet after lunch and dinner, and now I've gotten used to that. I crave that sweet treat after each meal, and it's hard to go one with my day until I've had it.

With my new eating habits, I'm trying to distract myself right after eating by getting back to work and trying to forget about my sweet tooth. So far it's been working pretty good. I didn't drink any soda this past week, and I'm going to try to do the same thing this week. I hope I can do it, and hopefully see some progress in my weight loss program.

Flipping Out Season 2 is almost done

I'm so bummed that the second season of Flipping Out is almost over. Next Tuesday is the last episode of Season 2.

Last Tuesday Chris #2 left the show. He decided the job of Jeff's house assistant just wasn't for him so he quit. I think that was a good choice since he probably would have gotten fired anyway. It seems like Jeff Lewis loves to fire, and re-hire the people who work for him.

One person who won't be coming back is Chris Elwood. This was his last chance, and he new he blew it. It kind of sucks that all the drama with Chris Elwood led to him and Jenny getting divorced. I guess it wasn't meant to be. And I think Jenny was really hurt by the fact that Chris lied to her about so many things he did working for Jeff.

Jenny used to defend him all the time, and trusted him, thinking that he was being truthful with her. Jeff thought something odd was going on, but didn't know what, and that's why he put the hidden camera in his office. Chris was caught in the act. Or should I say he was caught not doing anything when he should have been working.

Now that Chris #1 and #2 are no longer working for Jeff, Jeff needs to find another house assistant, which we will see in the season 2 finale. It should be interesting to see who applies for the job, i.e., who is willing to be Jeff Lewis' "bitch".
